I think in everyone’s lifetime they will have, or have had 5 minutes of fame. Now, that doesn’t mean that you would be world recognized or a millionaire because of it. It could be as simple as being a stand out in your own crowd, for being a hero or believing in a cause.
Don’t confuse this is as the 6 degrees of separation between you and Kevin Bacon. That just proves it’s a small world, but as Steven Wright said “I wouldn’t want to paint it!
So congratulations, now let’s bake a cake!
Cake is associated with birthdays, right? Especially chocolate! I personally dislike mine. What did you do to deserve the hoopla? Absolutely nothing!
Here’s a no non-sense recipe for the icing anyway. Remember to use your kitchenaid and your icing spatula!
Fudge Frosting
Sifted powdered sugar 1500 g
Light corn syrup 90 g
Sifted cocoa powder 120 g
Melted Shortening 180 g
Salt 1 ml
Vanilla extract 30 ml
Hot water 300 ml
Blend and beat smooth: corn syrup, sugar and salt
Add vanilla extract, water and cocoa until smooth
Add sugar water if too thick before cooling
Remember to lick the spoon!
